The villa was built in the 1920s and renovated in the 1950s by the architect Luigi Caccia Dominioni for Cavaliere Antonio Ratti, who was not only an entrepreneur but also a patron of the arts, so much so that he promoted a foundation and was financed at the Metropolitan Museum of New York a center for the conservation, restoration and conservation of textile collections. Since restoration, the current management provides impeccable services such as personal chef, yoga teacher, babysitter, and personal shopper.

Color graces the grounds
The elegant garden was created in the years 1957-62 by Pietro Porcinai, the most important landscape architect of the 20th century, as a a dutiful homage to the silk masters of the area, with the strokes of various colors of its green fabric, when its gentle slopes are tinged with the red, orange, yellow of the foliage of the trees (maples, oaks, pomegranates, etc.) and in spring with the pink, blue, yellow, white of the spectacular blooms of azaleas, rhododendrons, camellias.
